At GetIntoMarkets, our goal is simple: help complete beginners understand investing — crypto, stocks and ETFs — in plain English, so you can make your own informed decisions with confidence. This page explains how we create our content, how we review the tools we cover, and the standards we hold ourselves to.

Our mission

Investing content online is often full of jargon, hype, or hidden agendas. We exist to do the opposite: clear, honest, beginner-first explanations with no pressure and no gatekeeping. Every guide assumes zero prior experience.

How we create our content

  • Beginner-first: we write for people new to investing and explain every term in plain language.
  • Accuracy: we base explanations on how markets and products actually work, and we check facts against reputable sources such as Investor.gov, the SEC, and official provider documentation.
  • Kept current: we review and update articles over time, and show a “last updated” date where relevant.
  • Clearly educational: our content is for learning, not personalised advice (see the disclaimer below).

How we review tools and platforms

When we review or compare apps, brokers, exchanges or software, we assess them on the criteria that matter most to beginners:

  • Ease of use for a first-time investor
  • Fees and account minimums — clearly and accurately stated
  • Features that genuinely help beginners (fractional shares, education, support)
  • Safety, regulation and reputation
  • Who it’s best for — because the right tool depends on your goals

We aim to present both strengths and weaknesses of every tool, and to mention alternatives where relevant — including options we don’t earn from.

Our independence & how we make money

GetIntoMarkets is funded in part through affiliate partnerships. If you sign up or buy through some of our links, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. These relationships never determine our ratings, rankings or recommendations — we cover tools on their real merits. See our full Affiliate Disclosure.

Corrections

We’re human and markets move fast. If you spot something inaccurate or out of date, please contact us and we’ll review and correct it promptly.
